The Nokia N97 upgrades the firmware to v22.0.110, the Nokia N97 is a Flash Lite enabled phone.

Anwar has posted a new video to show the Maemo on Nokia N97 device. He made Maemo homescreen from N900 in to N97. It isn’t the same as in N900, but it’s cool and beautiful. For those who know this app, there are icons and wallpaper in this app is in 1920×360 resolution.

If you are using the app on a Nokia N97, you can add the widget to your home screen for quick access to CNN’s video library.

The app displays video content in four major categories: World News, Most Popular, Business, and World Sports. You can see the headline or subject for each story, as well as a thumbnail-sized image that links to the video for that story. And the app displays nicely in both portrait and landscape mode, although the latter is preferable for proper viewing of video content. For the technology geeks out there, one thing about this app that is worth noting: the CNN International Video app makes use of progressive download to deliver the video content, a Flash innovation that was optimized by personnel within Nokia specifically for use in this application.

Nokia N97 is based on Symbian OS 9.4, plenty of heritage, very function-rich,N97’s User interface is S60 5th Edition, largely tried and tested UI concepts, but with some distinct quirks for touch. Works well with d-pad and QWERTY keyboard, somewhat surprisingly, apart from the lack of a ‘Ctrl’ key and the resulting clumsy way copy and paste is implemented.  the HTC Hero is Android 1.5 OS, responsive and modern, but incomplete in places and still feels a little unfinished.

Usage is free of charge: each user automatically receives a specified amount of usage time per day. Currently the limit has been set to 8 hours.
