mobivention, one of the leading mobile content providers. The highlights of the mobivention exhibition are the following topics:

One highlight of the exhibition are Flash Lite based Flash Lite wallpapers & screensavers. With wallpapers and screensavers based on Flash Lite it is feasible to complete background images with active components. Old style animations have been upgraded by Flash Lite animations which offer a much higher frame rate and a smaller file size than normal animations in GIF format. The normal static background wallpaper has been upgraded by Flash Lite timebased wallpapers which are changing three times a day and presenting each time a different background wallpaper. The latest innovations are Shaking wallpaper which are using the motion sensor or accelerator in mobile phones to make personalisation richer and easier.(Via live pr)

Sony Ericsson’s Themes Creator tool has been recently updated to 4.0 version, using it to make theme creation process easier than ever.

Version 4.0 is a major new release with a new UI, simplified workflow and wizards, meaning that professional themes can be created in minutes in just three steps.

Quick three-step workflow

1. Select color scheme using automatic color combinations, color wheel tool or import saved color palettes

2. Import background images for standby wallpaper, desktop and navigation screens

3. Select style using pre-defined shapes and screen areas

Three editing modes

1. Wizard – create themes using a four-step workflow

2. Advanced – options to edit or create specific components

3. XML Editor – direct XML code editing

Here is a  Flash Lite  Theme, it looks like almost Vista. This is a theme which runs on Flash lite.

 Sony Ericsson Developer World has published Sony Ericsson Themes Creator 3.29, the appliction supports Flash Lite and XML for themes on Sony Ericsson phones. the Themes Creator has 3 versions: WIndows, Mac OS and Linux, you can download to here.

"Theme files for Sony Ericsson phones, except for the Symbian™/UIQ™ phones (G700, G900, M600, P1,
P900, P910, P990, W950 and W960 series), are TAR archives with the file extension .thm. A theme file
contains at least an XML file, in which colour settings for graphical elements and optionally image file
names and audio file names are defined. If the XML file specifies image or audio file names, the specified
files are also included in the archive. To extract the individual files from THM theme files most standard
archiving applications on the market can be used."

From Themes Creator v 3.29, import of Flash Lite™ animations, SWF files, to be used as wallpaper on
the Standby screen was added. After import, the animation is previewed in the Themes Creator window.
Developers also have the option to see the amount of memory used by the SWF.

Flash Lite animations can be used for the Standby element (wallpaper) in the Standby screen, except in
the K550, K610, K790, K800, K810, W350, W380, Z250, Z310, Z320, Z610 and Z710 series.
